The art of songwriting
Mark Ambor is a musician who writes from the heart. During our chat, he shared how his songwriting is an organic process, often starting with a melody or a lyrical idea that sparks something deeper. “It’s about letting my head roam free,” Mark explained. “Most of the time I’ll be playing the guitar, and a chord progression just clicks, and then the words that feel good.” His approach to songwriting is not overly calculated but rather guided by emotion and personal experience, which is part of what makes his music so relatable to his listeners.
Redwood Park: A place for friends and reflection
When he’s not writing music or performing on stage, Mark loves to unwind at Redwood Park. “That’s where I go to hang with my friends,” he said, with a smile. Redwood Park isn’t just a physical space for him; it’s a place that inspires connection, creativity, and relaxation. Whether he’s jamming with friends or simply soaking in the atmosphere, it serves as a key environment where some of his best ideas have been born.
The special connection with fans
Mark’s connection with his fans is one of the driving forces behind his success. During the interview, he emphasized how much he values their support. “The fans are everything. They’re the reason I get to do what I love,” he said. “It’s incredible to see how my music resonates with them all around the globe, whether it’s online or at shows.” For Mark, it’s not just about the music—it’s about building a community where everyone feels included and understood.
Traveling the world and collaborating with friends
As his music career continues to grow, so do the opportunities to travel. Mark talked about the thrill of seeing new places while touring, as well as the joy of working alongside his close-knit group of friends. “I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some amazing places, and being able to do it with my friends is a dream,” he shared.

Fans will be thrilled to hear that Mark has new music in the pipeline. While he didn’t spill all the details, he gave us a glimpse of what’s to come. “I already have some new songs,” he said. “Although I need to start more writing during touring.” Mark’s excitement about these new songs was contagious, and it’s clear that his creative energy is at an all-time high. If his previous work is any indication, we’re in for some incredible tracks.
Favorite YouTube music videos
When asked about his favorite YouTube music videos, Mark mentioned a few that have inspired him over the years. “I love when videos tell a story, like some of the classics by Coldplay, The Goo Goo Dolls and Mumford and Sons,” he said. He’s drawn to visuals that complement the Live music and elevate the emotional impact of the song. Mark also enjoys seeing how other artists experiment with intro’s in innovative ways.
Social media: A career catalyst
Mark is fully aware of how pivotal social media has been to his career. “Without social media, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” he admitted. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok have given him a direct line to his fans and allowed his music to reach a global audience. “It’s crazy how you can just post a song, and the next thing you know, it’s viral,” he laughed. While he’s grateful for the opportunities social media has provided, he also acknowledges the pressures it brings, especially when it comes to constantly creating new content. “It plays with your mind,” he said. “It’s a little too perfect.”
